About This Tool

This tool uses FFmpeg.wasm to adjust audio volume inside your browser using the volume filter. Set it below 100% to make audio quieter, or above 100% to boost it. Note that boosting above 100% on already loud tracks may cause clipping — use 150–200% on quiet recordings.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are my audio files uploaded to a server?
No. All volume adjustment is done using FFmpeg.wasm which runs entirely in your browser. Your files never leave your device and are never transmitted to any server.
How much can I boost the volume?
You can boost volume up to 200% of the original level. Use the slider to fine-tune the exact level you want, from silent (0%) all the way to double the original loudness.
Will boosting cause audio distortion?
Distortion (clipping) is possible if you boost already loud audio above 150%. If you hear crackling or distortion in the output, try a lower boost level or normalize the audio first.
